a house with no walls: second floor is the second part of my ongoing project exploring the ways in which we exist internally and externally in the world. It’s a living archive of transgender and gender non-conforming people’s experiences, shared through movement, objects, and the deep intimacy of what it is to be seen as all you are. The second floor, focusing on the bedroom and the bathroom, is an extended solo focusing on the safety to be yourself when no one’s watching. Peeling back the layers of what it is to simply exist as yourself despite the chaos waiting outside the door, and dissecting where the boundaries lie between alone and lonely. How does the safety of a bedroom dissolve when faced with reality?
