Ezekiel is a 7.5 minute solo choreographed and performed by Simon. This multimedia work, incorporating movement and video projection, is an ode to the land, and ode to my childhood tree named Ezekiel, and an ode to those that came before us.

Program Note:

Ezekiel  is a call back to where my relationship with the earth began; within the branches and leaves of my childhood tree, with whom I spent far too many hours climbing in, singing to the birds, and finding shade on the blistering South Texas days. Ezekiel is an external build of hope, release, love, and celebration as I look towards the future. As I accept the gifts bestowed upon me from my ancestors and the earth, and in turn share those gifts with my community. The gift of dance, the gift of my feet bounding across the earth, the gift of spreading my joy upon others; there is never scarcity where reciprocity exists.
